Flowers: Sow hardy annuals, which are (plants which are sown, flower and die in one year) that tolerate light frosts. Seed catalogues often use the abbreviation (HA) to describe hardy annuals. Dead head Dahlias, Delphiniums and particularly Roses, this will prolong your displays.
Shrubs: Prune - late summer flowering shrubs, trim evergreen hedges. Once Autumn sets in you can remove, move and replant shrubs as required.
